President's Corner
Hello!
I look forward to my tenure as the new President of MBFAA. It is an exciting time in our industry and we have many items showing up on our collective radar, such as the emerging cellular and internet-based alarm and data transmission capabilities. We are also seeing new regulations promulgated by our local AHJs, many of which add to our burden of documentation and result in added costs to the buyers of our services. We need to be aware of pending regulatory changes.
We are the voice of the alarm industry in Maine, and as such, we are sought out often for our input when alarm ordinances and related issues are under consideration. This will only increase as our membership continues to grow.
Your attendance at our meetings is vitally important in determining how the MBFAA can best assist you and represent your interests. Please come, enjoy the opportunity to network with your peers, and be heard!
I urge any member or interested person to give me a call, anytime, to discuss anything of interest or concern in our industry.
See you at the next meeting! Rich Brobst, Jr.PresidentMarch 28, 2011
